Been a bit under the weather the last couple of days. It's nothing specific, just low energy. My Hara is off-balance or something.
That means that I haven't done my Tabatas. No training on Thursday and nothing today. Hopefully my energy-levels will pick up and I'll be back in business on Tuesday.
Wish me luck!

one week
It's been one week[1] now and I've been exercising according to plan, three times per week. High intensity interval training. HIIT. Well, I'm not sure how high intensity it is, but it's freaking hard! I haven't been able to do one full Tabata yet, but I'll get there. On Sunday, I'll do 5/8ths.
Since I started last Thursday, I've completed four sessions.
It's hard as hell doing squats like this. But, I'll keep going till I can complete a full Tabata.
[1] funny/good song, that's all...

HIIT-light(?)
It's a go!
Dr said it was no problem for me to start High Intensity Interval Training. In fact, she said that any kind of training is good for me. (as if I didn't know!)
I managed to do some semi-HIIT training this morning. I started by running in place for 5 minutes as a warm-up, then followed by three sets of 20 sec squats, 10 sec rest.
So a total of 6,5 minutes of training :)
This is my heart-rate during the exercise
So, I've finally managed to get going again. And I will keep going and add more sets till I get to the 8. I'll also throw in some other types of exercise, like long walks and stuff.
I've also re-set/updated the info-box to the left.

kick-restart(?)
Excuses excuses mode ON
For various reasons I've not been focusing at all on this. It came to the point where everything became an obstacle and failing that just added to the stress.
So, I decided to take a "time out" from everything that I really didn't have to do....
Excuses excuses mode OFF
But now I'm back!
I've found new energy, and am mentally prepared to take on the hard and difficult path to a healthier, lighter life. Therefore I'm kick-restarting the journey to under 100 kg with HIIT.
Actually, I have an doctor’s appointment next week, to see that I'm able to do that kind of training.
I'll keep you posted ;-)

Slow progress
I haven't really gotten in to a good training schedule yet. As always I set a goal that is too hard to reach. I'm just tooooo tired in the mornings to be able to get up and salute the sun. I do it every now and then, and I hope to do it two-three times a week.
It's a lot easier to walk home though. I do that roughly twice a week. Soon I'll pick up running again. Soon. Soonish. It's a slow progress for me. At least from a training perspective. I've updated the weight info to the right and apparently I've dropped 3kg already. I guess eating a bit healthier actually works!

a cunning plan
I haven't been updating this blog for some time. That's mainly due to the fact that I haven't been focusing on anything except having a good time. Eating, drinking and just enjoying life.
Exercise basically has been one sit-up each morning, and the occasional 5-10km walk.
But, now I've grown tired of my slacking and my consequent growing around the waist. I'm tired of being tired all the time, so "I've come to the conclusion" that I need to pick up some sort of physical activity. Actually, I have already started. After the vacation ended, I got a little more active by walking home from the office (8km) 2-3 times a week. While walking a plan slowly emerged.
The plan is simple enough. I have to do at least one thing every day. The bare minimum is yoga, a sun salutation (A followed by B). If I fail to do the sun salutation in the morning, I have to do something else, either walk home or go for a run or something. Of course, I can always do one later during the day.
So this week I started. I was a bit too ambitious and set the alarm for 5:50, which basically meant I was too tired, and re-set the alarm to 7. So I walked home. Tuesday&Wednesday has been better and two days in a row I've managed to get up and do the sun salutations. Yay! for me! :)
This is just the start though, once I'm "up and running" with this form of exercise I'll pick up running again. Last year I ran 10km, that's not really possible now. But I'd like it to be again. So that's my long-term goal. And I'm going to take it slow. My 10k goal is in May.
Weight? Well, right now, I put down 113kg. It doesn't matter and I don't really know exactly. I'll update it every now and then, but it really isn't my primary focus. I WILL get to under hundred kg if I can just keep to my plan.

baaad to the bones
Haven't had enough focus on food and what I've been eating lately.
Result? A whopping 6+ kg weight-gain in two months! *sigh*
Back to basics I guess! I'll probably re-join weight-watchers or some other site that helps me keep track of the food I eat. In theory I already "know it all", but then life happens and I forget aaaall about it.
Also, I have recently started running again. I have to keep that up! I also got a heart-beat monitor just for fun. :) If I can go for a run two, three times a week I should be back to 104 and on my way to under hundred kg in no-time!
